The Department of Federal and State Programs mission is to carry out activities aimed at facilitating, encouraging and creating community and economic development in the City of Hattiesburg. This mission is achieved through the implementation of a range of programs including Community Development Block Grant Programs, transportation planning (MPO) activities, the operation of a mass transit system and the implementation of a systemic brownfields revitalization program.
